Rare left facing portrait type struck for Emperor Titus at the Rome Mint.
Dated: TR P IX IMP XV COS VIII = 1 January to 1 July 80 CE.

One of the 12 Caesars (eldest son of Emperor Vespasian & older brother of Emperor Domitian) with a short reign as Emperor from 79 to 81 CE.
Significant historic events of Titus' reign were the dedication of the Coliseum, the eruption of Vesuvius and the destruction of Pompeii.
Well struck with a realistic portrait, very appealing in hand.
Certified by NGC to Ch XF Strike 5/5 Surface 4/5 (very rare near max subgrades).
