Struck for Emperor Antoninus Pius (adopted father of Marcus Aurelius) at the Rome Mint 138 to 161 CE.

Certified by NGC to Genuine. (Note: the holder's prongs are not fully contacting the coin due to the coin's irregular shape.)

Obverse: Laureate head right. 

Reverse: Annona standing left holding grain ears and cornucopia.

Annona was the personification of the grain supply to the city of Rome. She was a symbol of the Imperial liberality and providence in procuring, and in bestowing grain to the people of Rome.
