Mint State Uncirculated France silver 1/4 franc coin.
Struck for Charles X at the Paris Mint (A mint mark).
Significant die clash mint error noted on obverse.
The reverse design has been transferred to the obverse upside down and retrograde. The F, 4 and portions of the shield and crown are very prominent.
A die clash coin error occurs when the obverse and reverse dies come together without a coin between them. This causes design transfer to the dies and subsequently to the coins produced after the die clash.
Certified by NGC to MS 62, Population Census: This coin, only 3 coins higher.
Lustrous with attractive blue/green/gold tones.
