- Obverse: bust Louis XVI facing left, with titles stating he is king of France.
- Reverse: Genius standing right inscribing CONSTITUTION on tablet, dated to the 4th year from the French Revolution (L'an 4).
- Struck during the second semester denoted by dot below U of LOUIS.
- No adjustment marks which are typically encountered with this type.
