- Perpignan was the only French mint issuing 24 sols coins in 1779.
- Mintage is not reported, but Droulers states for rarity as Tres Peu (very few), appears to be one of the most rare Louis XVI 24 sol dates.
- Certified by PCGS to VF 35, Population Census: this coin, none higher (NGC 0/0).
