- Obverse: FAVSTINA AVGVSTA, hair braided and coiled at back of head in large chignon.
- Reverse: MATRI MAGNAE, Cybele enthroned right, drum in left hand set on knee, flanked by two lions seated right; SC in exergue.
- Cybele, also known as the Magna Mater or Great Mother, was a Roman goddess associated with nature, fertility, motherhood, and agriculture. An appropriate type for Faustina, the mother of 13 children!
