Struck for King Charles I from 1639 to 1640 (Triangle mint mark, ob and rx at approx 12:00).

S-2799, approx 30mm.

Obverse: bust of Charles facing left, mark of value XII behind head, mint mark above: CAROLVS D G MAG BR FRA ET HI REX (Charles by the grace of god king Great Britain, France and Ireland).

Reverse: arms of Great Britain, France and Ireland: CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO (I rule under the auspices of Christ, relates to the divine right of kings).

Certified by PCGS to VF 30.

Full legends with uneven strike typical for hammered coins.
