  • Obverse: Control symbol behind, draped and winged bust of Victory right, wearing earring and necklace, hair braided and drawn back into a knot.

  • Reverse: C VAL FLA, Aquila (legionary eagle) between two signa (standards), one inscribed H (Hastati), the other P (Principes), EX S C in lower field.

  • Struck at Massalia by special decree of he Senate (ex senatus consulto) while Flaccus was proconsul in Gaul.
