- Struck c. 85-65 BC for King Mithradates VI Eupator at Amisos, a major Black Sea port city.
- Obverse: Aegis with Gorgon Medusa head.
- Reverse: Nike advancing right holding wreath and palm branch.
- Gorgon Medusa's head was a potent, petrifying severed head used by Perseus to defeat his enemies, ultimately given to Athena and placed on her aegis.
